Robby's One Month

Well, Baby Robby is already one month old! He is adjusting well to life at home and already loves to hang out in all of Katie's old favorite places!
Robby weighed 9 lbs. 13 oz. at his 2 week check-up. He is definitely starting off as a big boy!
Katie's birth announcement photo I took turned out so well that I tried to replicate the same for Robby. Unfortunately, it didn't turn out so well since he is such a wiggle-worm!
Here is Katie's...
 and the best of Robby's...
Oh well, I tried!!
Katie is definitely starting to get used to having Robby around as well. We make sure she has lots of fun by frequent park trips and lots of playing on the jumpy castle!
Even Daisy enjoys the jumpy castle!
She was the youngest kid to go down a huge waterslide at her school barbeque. She is a very brave little girl!
Robby is getting used to the family as well. He seems to smile all the time and always keeps his eyes on one of us when he's up and alert - which is becoming much for frequently. Other than having some bouts of gas in the evening, he is a very happy little guy.
We look forward to seeing how he has grown next month!

Robby Comes Home

Robby's first 2 weeks have flown by and we can't even remember what life was like without him! Here he is in his first outfit leaving the hospital.
Once home, Eddie and Daisy were very eager to greet him. Nana had brought home the first hat Robby had on as soon as he was born so they could smell it and know he was coming. It definitely worked!
We spent the first few days resting and bonding with Robby.
Katie got a new baby of her own that she went right to work taking care of...
Robby also got his first bath, which he was not too fond of!
Nana and Poppy joined us on the 4th of July and we all enjoyed eating and hanging out!
We couldn't be happier to have such a gorgeous little girl and handsome boy! We feel incredibly blessed to have such an amazing family.
Katie is starting to realize that Robby is not going anywhere. She constantly points at him and says "this is my brother." We think she will like being a big sister after all!

Robby's Arrival

After months of waiting, Robert Paul Peters (Robby) was born on Monday, June 25th. Since Robby was 3 days past his due date, Mom and Dad went to the hospital that morning to get induced and 9 and a half hours later Robby was born! Mom was extremely grateful that labor second time around was less than half of her 22 hour labor with Katie.
At 8 pounds 2.8 ounces and 20 inches long, Robby surprised all of us with his size. Mom especially didn't think she was capable of carrying such a big baby!
Robby's timing was such that the entire family - including Big Sister Katie - was able to be there for his birth. Although the original plan was for Grandma and Katie to wait in the waiting room during the pushing, they ended up staying for the whole thing! They hung out in one end of the room (where Katie couldn't focus on Mom) and Katie had an absolute ball joining in with the counting to help Mom with the pushing, which only lasted about 15 minutes. She was enthralled that the entire room was counting with her!
Once Robby arrived, Katie couldn't take her eyes off him. She was fascinated and just wanted to touch him.
Poppy Paul was also here for the entire birth but unfortunately, he is not in these photos because he was the photographer/videographer throughout the whole day.  He was able to record this memorable experience so we can look back on it for years to come!
Robby's birth was an exciting event for all of us and we couldn't be happier to welcome little Robby into the world!
Stay tuned for more pictures of Robby arriving home coming in a few days!
