Memorial Day and More

Katie had another great week. She is a very happy little girl and she is always smiling! She also does quite a bit of "talking." She loves to babble to Mom and Dad and we feel like she is on the verge of making out real words....at least in our heads! :)

 

 Katie is also getting very active at certain times of day and loves wiggling around and doing her "exercising."

Our friends Maureen and Alex came over for lunch this week. Alex may be a couple of years older but they will be playmates soon enough!

The week ended with a fun first Memorial Day Weekend. Katie spent lots of time outside watching Mom and Dad doing yardwork.  She also had fun taking a walk to the park and getting ice cream! She and Mom thought it was a good day to model another dress! She is a little angel!

A Week of Fun

Katie had a week full of fun and sun! Nana Kat came and helped Mom plant her pots so she had a fun time watching the planting go on on the front porch.  The pots turned out really pretty!

Katie also had her first barhopping experience with Nana Kat, Poppy Paul and Momma (Dad was on a golf outing).  She went to the Broker for dinner/happy hour where Nana Kat and Poppy Paul have been going on on Fridays for years! She had fun but, unfortunately, was a little fussy when the picture was taken. :)

Katie also had a fantastic week because she started sleeping through the night this week! She slept through the night for 8 days in a row which Momma was extremely happy about!!! Katie is now eating and sleeping beautifully and is a delightfully easy baby!

A Weekend of Firsts

This weekend was a very busy weekend for Baby Katie. She spent Friday at Nana Kat and Poppy Paul's house and she did her first real smile in response to Nana Kat talking to her. She smiles in her sleep all of the time, but this smile was a real smile! Katie is starting to look at people straight on and respond to them more and more now.  Katie also took her first bottle this weekend. Dad gave it to her and she had no problem latching on to it and gobbling it all down!

Another first was that Katie rode in her Baby Bjorn carrier for the first time this weekend. She rode in it while Momma and Daddy shopped in Home Depot and then again while Momma picked up the house. She loves the Baby Bjorn carrier because she loves being close to Momma and Daddy!

Our First Mother's Day

Today the Peters family celebrated our first Mother's day together.  We celebrated by sleeping in late and then going to visit Nana Kat and Poppy Paul up in Boulder where we had a very nice lunch.  Katie looked especially beautiful today because it was her first day wearing a dress! She loved it and felt like a real girl. Everyone at the restaurant and all of the neighbors oohed and ahhed over her as usual! We also came home and took a walk as a family (including Daisy and Eddie) which is what Mom requested for her Mother's Day activity.  It was a wonderful day that Mom will never forget!

Katie's One Month Birthday

Today marks the day that our precious Katie has been with us for an entire month! Mom and Dad are so happy she is here with us, but we are already sad that our tiny baby is growing up so fast! Katie and Mom celebrated the big day with a nice long stroll to the neighborhood park, lunch with Dad, a trip to Babies R Us and a bath.  Happy one month birthday little darling!
