Standing Proud

Well our "Baby Katie" has entered a whole new phase - standing!  At about the exact date she turned 9 months this obsession began.  She has to be standing almost all the time now! She will pull herself up on just about anything...

She especially likes supporting herself on the plantation shutters while looking out the window!  Just like her dog Eddie does!

Katie also had a great time celebrating her Poppy Paul's birthday.  We ordered in so Katie could celebrate with us.  She loves sitting in her high chair and eating meals with the rest of the family!

First Christmas

 Katie had a fantastic first Christmas. She had a blast playing with her Cousin Parker and spending time with her Colorado and Georgia families!

She got right in there with her Cousin and made her presence known...

 Katie was such a Party Girl that she joined the family for Christmas Eve dinner. The plan was for her to be in bed - but she thought it was great to sit at the dining room table like a Big Girl!

With the addition of Katie and Parker, the stocking line-up has become quite impressive as you can see.  Nana Kat made both of their stockings (along with several others).

 

It didn't take long for them to tear into those stockings....

And soon they were surrounded by presents galore!

 Katie had no problem entertaining herself with all the fun things around!

 After all the opening it was time for a trip to the park.  Luckily, it was a gorgeous day!

Overall, it was a fantastic First Christmas and Katie can't wait until next year for Christmas #2!

Preparation for Katie's 1st Christmas

Sorry it has been so long since the last Katie update - there was a slight delay due to our computers being stolen. But we are happy to say that we are back up and running.

Katie had a ball helping to put up her First Christmas Tree. She thought it was pretty wild and she loved stroking the branches! She was very good about not pulling on it...

Katie loved helping Mom put up the ornaments!

After all the fuss, the tree turned out to be gorgeous! Here is Katie showing off her 1st Christmas Tree with her Dad and Mom...

Katie also had fun wrapping presents with Mom. She was right there every time anyone wrapped. She absolutely loved playing with the ribbon!

 We also want to be sure to note that during Mid December, Katie started standing up (supported). Here she is standing alone for the first time!

 After learning that she can stand up, Katie now pulls herself up on everything! We have to watch her carefully because she loves to climb!

Overall, Katie had a wonderful time preparing for her 1st Christmas. More to come in a few days!
