Happy Girl
Katie is continuing to be wonderful and is an extremely happy little girl. Her "school" has dubbed her the "happiest baby they have ever had." Here are some pics of Katie just being her happy little self...
Since we have been doing lots of yard work lately, she has spent a lot of time out there with us. Dad especially likes showing her our large array of trees. This is the one he thinks she will climb one day.
After being out in the yard all day, Momma had to go in and give her a bath. She loves flying through the air and landing into her bath. She thinks it's hysterical!
On Saturday, Poppy Paul came down to babysit so Mom and Dad could go to a baseball game. Nana Kat was in Atlanta visiting Katie's Cousin Parker for his first birthday so it was just Poppy Paul and Katie. They had a wonderful time together and Katie can't wait until Poppy Paul can come back and stay with her again!
One of Katie's funny traits is the way she sleeps. She sleeps on her knees with her little butt up in the air. She is definitely preparing to crawl....even in her sleep!
Well, that's all for now. More from our Happy Little Girl coming soon!

Cereal Time
Our Baby Katie is officially growing up. On Saturday, we fed her cereal for the first time! Our pediatrician said that she would be ready when she started paying attention to food and acting like she wanted some. She has been doing this for a few weeks now so we knew it was time (although Mom wanted to keep delaying it so her baby wouldn't grow up too fast). :) When her high chair came and was officially set up, Momma knew it was finally time. Here she is all ready to go for her first time eating solids.
As you can see from the pictures, Katie had no trouble catching on. She opened her mouth wide every time she saw that spoon coming near her!
Needless to say, Daisy became even more attached to Katie when she saw her eating "real" food. She was next to her every step (or bite) of the way. Pretty cute!
When Katie wouldn't let anymore cereal into her mouth we knew that we had finally filled her up!
It didn't take long before she was fast asleep in Dad's arms. Our Little Sweet Pea couldn't have been more content!

5 Months!
Today is Katie's 5 month birthday! We can't believe our little Baby Katie is already 5 months old....the time has gone so fast! We had a wonderful Labor Day weekend doing major yard clean-up. Katie had a ball hanging out in the yard with Daisy and Eddie while Mom, Dad, Nana Kat and Poppy Paul all worked in the yard. Here is a picture that shows the scene for most of the day. Katie hung out on a blanket in the shade while Dad and Poppy Paul were taking down a dead bush in the front yard and Nana Kat helped Mom plant some perennials on the shady side of the yard.
Lola hung out with Katie on the blanket for part of the time. They were best buddies!
Katie proved herself to be an unbelievable baby once again. She hung outside ALL day and was a perfect little angel while the rest of us worked. She even napped right outside under the trees!
We did take a few breaks here and there during which Nana Kat and Poppy Paul were sure to get their snuggle time in!
Katie is also starting to get quite strong. She's been getting up on her knees for a couple of months now, but now she is also starting to push up with her arms alot.
She often has both her arms and legs off the ground. We call this "flying."
Katie has also become best buddies with Daisy and Eddie. They are very tolerant of her and love to be around her.
Katie has given us the best 5 months we could ever imagine and we can't wait to see what she is doing next month. We love you litte Tater Tot!
